How well that would work as a WiFi extender or how easy to configure it for that use I don't know. We have Comcast so I use a Motorola DOCSIS 3.0 modem coupled to a Netgear Orbi Mesh WiFi system. Apparently if you purchase an older model 4921 extender from a 3rd party like Amazon or eBay they will work without the $10/month subscription, but they do not support WiFi 6 and will be slower.
