Despite these issues the engine continued to run without ever stalling or sounding "off".Here I fix a leaky valve cover gasket on a 19.5hp B & S engine.7 may be the culprit, also check the hole it goes in and make sure that is round. The vibration from the bearing going out may have enlarged the bolt holes in the plate. Then check the pulleys to make sure they are not slightly out of round.
