I seem to have the same problem as 2003. My 2001 F-150 cranks over and won't start until I let it set and then crank again several times then it starts and may start several times until it acts up again. Have checked large fuses, the anti theft is not blinking.The gas cap works loose and gives a check engine but it is tight so no check light is on.FF- I think what they're refering to is the fuel cut-off switch. That doesn't control fuel pressure except to either stop the pressure or start it. It simply cut's the fuel pump off in the case of an accident. Also, cranks and turns over are the same thing. It's not possible for it to turn over but not crank.
