Most likely, the original head was an 8060 head. Some Sm's and MTA's had 8574 heads. Both heads will give you a smooth running tractor giving you 45 hp. What you have there is a gas head off of eather a late super M or a 400, these heads are the same as a 450 gas head and is a lot better head than the 8060 casting that a M would have had, so I would assume that your M has a after-market lp conversion.
