Try properly charging the battery. If the voltage dropped to 9-10 volts it probably won't recover. You can take the battery to almost any auto store and get it load tested too. The battery shouldn't be dead after a few weeks of sitting. Depending on it's age it may be time for a new battery. 2007 VN900 Custom. Starting Problem. My Kawasaki 900 Vulcan won't start. The battery is only 1 year old and gives a reading of 12.89 volts across the terminals. I have charged it repeatedly. With the switch off, there is only 0.02 mA current across the terminals which I assume is due to the running of the clock and other internal electrical settings.Feb 21, 2011 · Checked battery first, fine. Tap case with screwdriver. Let sit for a while. Empty out Seafoam. Repeat. Then try your gas in a bottle test again. 2. Carbs will have to be cleaned and examined, again.
