The ranger has a +15/10 to hit with an average of 33 damage per round with favored enemy. (+11/6 with 17.5 with out) So from what I figured, the ranger hits more consistently, but if the fighter/rogue gains flanking, it can wreck the enemy. But, if the ranger is fighting its favored, it absolute matches in damage. The extra AC makes it that much more likely to proc the counterattack reaction from your hunted prey. You'll also benefit from the extra Feint bonus. Edit: It also makes a pretty good base for a tanky pet build.
