John deere 1780 planter problems.
When I was looking at planters last summer, the JD planter shop suggested that the 1780 for my application would not be the wisest of choices. The carry wheels get VERY heavy when the planter is lifted and will start pushing dirt ahead of them in poor ground conditions.

The 1770 has a better lifting system than the 7200 series . The 7200 the cylinders will get out of phase. We have had 12 row 7200, then 16 row 7200 and now 1770nt - 16 row with es sets. We have used Precisions finger pickup and vaccum units and both seed very well.
