I double checked and the camshaft follower for the B48 HPFP is the same as the B58 so it should work in theory. I'm planning on installing a B58TU HPFP on my 2017 330i so i'll let you guys know if anything breaks lol. With respect to HPFP, there are the b48/b58 ones and then the b48tu/b58tu ones.

The B58 has such a close gear ratio transmission that with the 6466 you will always be in boost outside of first gear. The only lag you will experience is from a dead stop. The 6466 turbo is capable of producing 800whp so if you're working with a really good tuner and want maximum power output from your B58 this is the one! During development ...N55 sounds a bit better imo but will make less power overall, tuned or not. The B58 still sounds really great and has a larger turbo from factory, and a better intercooler system among other big improvements. I upgraded from an N55 to a B58 but my N55 really kicked ass.

With the mess of engine mounts, coding, harness, labor, the "one part you are missy and is on back order", it's going to be a nightmare. The N52, 53, 54 and 55 engines is right around the time when BMW got a lot more technical and computer based with their engines making them a lot harder to swap unless you are doing a engine replacement of the same engine code.
