Yes it is very cool to have 2 or 3 ornaments for some exotic armors, but I'm using Contraverse Hold like 98% of the time in pve and they have none. I like their aesthetic but something new could be great. Me and my fellow warlock have wait enough. Plz Bungie, do us a favor. Edit : some guardians apparently need ornaments for other exotics too !

Contraverse is the way to go in GM or even Master at the start of the season, because as well as refunding grenade energy it gives damage resist, and it doesn't require kills, only hits. In Legend difficulty or below I use Nezarec's or Verity's Brow - both of which require chaining kills together.

Doubling up is therefore pretty worth it, but on a contraverse build I think OPs set up is the best. 4 charge from just 2 orbs with stacks on stacks, 42% from 2 kick-starts but you still get to make an orb on grenade kills. It's the best set up IMO.

Grenade Kickstart works when you hit 0 energy for a very short amount of time. Contraverse Hold returns grenade energy on hit. Your grenade energy isn't 0 for long enough for GK to proc. To test this you can throw a grenade at an enemy close up (won't proc as it'll return energy) or far away (can proc GK before it hits an enemy).It has higher burst dmg so its real nice for getting that quick devour pop. Contraverse has a slower playstyle that involve letting enemies cook in your nade. it has much higher total dmg, but it takes longer to dish it out.
