Someone from Hamskea even commented on a post a while back saying not to use it has the newer Mathews have to move limb oscillation and it is causing contact issues. Shot the VTM and was good, but not as smooth and quiet as the Mathews. To be fair the pull weight was 70 on the vtm and longer draw vs phase 4 at 65 lbs, but still. Dec 2, 2022 · The Hoyt VTM 34 is now in serious consideration. Draw cycle is butter smooth (to me it’s better than the Mathews not gonna lie), it’s a hair longer ATA and a hair shorter brace. I like the fact the Hoyt has a rotating mod for draw length and only a 3 piece string system.
The VTM drew significantly easier and has a smooth cycle throughout. I didn’t scale that one, but it felt 5-8 lbs lighter in comparison to Omnia. Very dead as well, but has almost like a muffled noise at shot. If anyone has been near a Hoyt shooter in the last 2-3 years, you know what I mean.
