Rgb30 is just a unique case with a higher resolution screen than most non-widescreen handhelds (including the 2S), a slightly larger screen than most of them since many are 3.5in while this one is 4 inch, and the 1:1 aspect ratio ends up being a great all around fit for the majority of older consoles especially handhelds like gameboy/color/ngpc.
A new version of the os was just released a few days ago. I'm not sure if I encountered the same issue before but got it fixed after change the volume in the sound settings. Press Start and go to the sound settings and see if your volume is at 0%. ArkOS a little bit more setup, but more options to tweak if you want and slightly more performant for higher tier systems. At least that’s how it was explained to me.

With ArkOS I recommend Duckstation for PSX so you can change the disk read speed to speed up load times and most games are stable in my experience. With that said I haven’t even thought of psp because of the screen real estate on rgb30.

But with Arkos, the emulator options seem to be in retroarch and there are fewer choices meaning some games I can't get to run right ...
