I would call the company, but never really trust a vendor versus a third party source. I have been hearing some not good things about the Colt 6940.
One is a Noveske 10.5 barrel, Fsb, magpul sl handguard, magpul mbus rear sight with Areo Precision upper. The other is an Ballistic Advantage 11.3 Hanson barrel, BCM MCMR 10 inch handguard, Troy fixed front / rear sights and Areo Precision upper. If it's a CHF lightweight barrel you want, than the difference between the Noveske and DD isn't much and it's pretty much a coin toss. If you want a more precision barrel and move away from the CHF lightweight barrel, Noveske is really the only choice between the two.
