Sep 25, 2021. My trunk wouldn't open with the remote or push button. Checking the fuses, I found #16 was blown. I replaced the fuse and now the remote will open the trunk. The push button works when all the doors are unlocked. The manual says the push button should work when the doors are locked and the remote is within 3 feet, but it does not.

Jan 17, 2022 · The trunk release button on the inside of the cabin doesn't work because the cable was stretched before this lock stopped working. I figure I have to get the read seats out to get in the trunk and get my stuff out. The car is going to the scrappers but I didn't want to break the trunk with a tire iron unless I have to.
